    This experimental space is used to promote hands-on, interdisciplinary design activities by allowing any number of faculty and students, across a variety of schools and departments, to work together on critical design challenges, research, and practice.
  2. NJ Commission on Brain Injury Research (NJCBIR)
    This lab allows scientists and physicians to work with student athletes in order to understand the risk for and recovery from sport-related concussions.
  3. SpaceX
    A private company that designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft; combines the effort from a wide variety of fields including engineering, food services, sales, aviation, business, accounting, and governmental affairs.

    Technical standards that let DNA databases communicate in order to share genetic information across the Internet; it combines the effort from various engineering, medical, and bioinformatic fields.
  2. Agricultural Drones
    These drones equipped with ­cameras allow farmers to increase yields and reduce crop damage; it combines agriculture with engineering and robotics.
  3. Microscale 3-D Printing
    This is a project designed to allow 3-D printing to be done using multiple materials, and not just plastics, striving toward the printing of actual organs or other objects that can respond to their environment; combines engineering, chemistry, biology, and biotechnology.
