Quick Critique

The most common response that I had was to allow the user to pick up their movie after just swiping their card, instead of requiring them to select pick up. This really stood out to me, because it was the first solution that I thought of as well. In considering the issues and potential reasons for Redbox to have the design that they currently have, however, I realized that there is a simple reason to not. The computer does not know at the time of the user swiping their card if they have reserved a movie. One potential work-around for this is to allow the user to swipe the card and take them to an option screen where they can select if they have a movie reserved, or if they desire to browse the catalog before checking out. This could be as simple as taking the user to their current cart, even if it is empty.
